📖非華語幼兒親子閱讀小組 📖Parent-kids Reading Group for Non-Chinese speaking children

這星期,本校舉行第一次非華語幼兒親子閱讀小組。家長和幼兒都非常積極進行閱讀,學習一些簡單的中文詞彙及日常用語等,從閱讀圖書中學習中文,培養閱讀興趣和習慣,打開語文學習之門,裨使升上小一奠定學習語文基礎。
第二次活動將於2023年2月舉行,期待再次與大家見面。😊

This week, our school held our first Parent-kids Reading Group for Non-Chinese speaking children. In the activity, parents and children learn some Chinese vocabulary and daily expressions when reading books, children can also cultivate reading interest and habits, open doors with language learning, and build up foundations in learning Mandarin before entering primary one.
Next activity will be held in February 2023, and we look forward to seeing you again. 😊

幼班探索活動-美味的蘋果汁 K.1 exploration activity-Delicious Apple Juice

K1幼兒與老師透過閱讀《愛吃水果的牛》繪本,進行有趣及多元的探索活動,並深入了解不同的水果特質及外型🍎🍓🍊🍐🍇。在探索活動中,幼兒與老師深入研究蘋果,更利用蘋果一起製作健康美味的蘋果汁🍎,進行探究活動真是很開心啊!希望小朋友能每天多吃水果,做個健康快樂的好孩子!
K1 children and teachers have fun and diverse exploration activities through reading the picture book “愛吃水果的牛” and have a deep understanding of the characteristics and appearance of different fruits🍎🍓🍊🍐🍇. During the exploration activities, the children and teachers studied apples in depth, and made healthy and delicious apple juice with apples 🍎. It was really fun to conduct exploration activities! We hope that children can eat more fruits every day and be a healthy and happy child!

高班小食嘗試-健康薄餅 K.3 snack trial activity-Healthy Pizza

16-11-2022(星期三)高班幼兒進行小食嘗試活動,親手製作美味的健康薄餅🍕。
製作過程中,幼兒積極參與,並按照健康食物金字塔的飲食原則配搭不同份量的食材,分別有粟米、芝士及吞拿魚等。完成後,幼兒於茶點時間享用自己製作的健康薄餅,很開心啊!😄希望家長和孩子在家中都能一起製作健康小食,協助幼兒建立良好的飲食習慣。

16-11-2022 (Wednesday) K.3 children had a snack trial activity and made healthy pizza by themselves🍕.
During the production process, children are actively participated and matched different portions of ingredients based on the dietary principles of the healthy food pyramid, including corn, cheese, tuna and so on.
Then, children enjoyed the healthy pizza they made during tea time, very happy! 😄parents and children can make healthy snacks together at home to help children build up good eating habits.

低班探索活動-搓湯圓 K.2 Exploration Activity – Make tangyuan

小朋友,當你感到生氣時,可以怎樣做呢?

在故事《家裏的小風波》中,當傑傑感到生氣時,媽媽與他一起做生氣湯圓,來平靜自己生氣的情緒。

小朋友對生氣湯圓感到興趣,因此老師與小朋友進行了搓湯圓的活動,藉此探索糯米粉與水混合後的變化。
幼兒發現不同份量的糯米粉和水混和後,會出現不同的現象,有些幼兒能描述糯米粉加水後的質感:「硬的」、「黏黏的」,有些幼兒表示「加太多水了」、「我想試試加多一點粉」…孩子們都非常認真又投入地進行探究,玩得很開心呀!😊

然後,小朋友一起搓湯圓,大家討論湯圓的數量和形狀。
最後,老師煮湯圓給小朋友品嘗,大家都吃得津津有味啊!😋

How do you deal with your anger?
In the story “家裏的小風波”, 傑傑made Tangyuan with his mother to calm down.

As children are interested in making Tangyuan, we make an exploration of mixing glutinous rice flour with water together.
In the activity, children discovered that while different amount of water could change the texture of the glutinous rice flour mixture, some children described the texture as “hard” or “sticky”, some children said “too much water”, “I want to try adding more flour”…It’s fun for children to learn in the exploration.

Then, children made tangyuan in different shapes, and count the numbers of tangyuan made.
Finally, teacher cook tangyuan with children, it’s delicious!

🎂9-10月生日會 9-10 Birthday Party

本校舉行9至10月生日會,幼兒悉心的打扮,穿上色彩繽紛的服飾參與「情緒派對」。

老師講述故事《彩色怪獸》,這是一本很著名的繪本圖書,故事中小女孩幫助彩色怪獸把情緒分類,每一種情緒都有不同的顏色。

除了故事分享外,幼兒與老師一起玩快樂傘,並創作「彩色怪獸—彩鹽畫」,大家都在充滿喜悅的氣氛下進行生日會活動。❤️😀😄

In our birthday party of September and October, children wear colorful costumes to participate in the “emotional party”

Children read the story “The Color Monster”, which is a very famous picture book. In the story, the little girl helps Color Monsters to separate each emotions in different color.

In addition to sharing stories, children and teachers played with the happy parachute and created “Salt Painting-Color Monster”. Everyone had a birthday party in a joyful atmosphere. ❤️😀😄

我們的向日葵 Our Sunflower

一朵花到野生生物走廊是由「恩臨-緯利」共同創建的。今天,本校承蒙恩臨-緯利創辦人- 曾慕農先生,致送向日葵到校,讓本校學生及家長認識向日葵,欣賞大自然的力量。

向日葵顏色是黃色和橙色的完美搭配,總給人一股溫暖氛圍的花朵。除了顏色,向日葵外觀也像太陽一樣,花盤中央是圓形,周圍圍繞著如光束般的舌狀黃色花瓣,向日葵的花會隨太陽轉動、朝著陽光的方向生長,因此稱它為太陽花。

向日葵計劃不僅提高了人們的自然保護意識,還為傳粉昆蟲創造了迷你野生生物(綠色)走廊,沿著城市的動脈為牠們提供庇護和食物,為東涌新市鎮成為蜜蜂及蝴蝶棲息地。

A Flower to Wildlife Corridor is created by Forester Horticulture and Will Legend together. Today, our school is grateful to Mr. Tsang, the establisher of Forester Horticulture and Will Legend to send Sunflower to us, so that our students and parents can get to know Sunflower and let us appreciate the power of natural environment.

The sunflower colour is the perfect combination of yellow and orange, always giving a warm vibe to the flowers. In addition to the colour, the sunflower also looks like the sun. The center of the flower disc is circular, surrounded by tongue-like yellow petals like beams. The sunflower flower will rotate with the sun and grow in the direction of the sun, so it is called the Sunflower.

The flowers not only promote awareness of nature conservation, but also create mini wildlife (green) corridors for insect pollinators, in order to provide them with shelters, and food along city’ arteries.
