Service Plan Details
1. Learning Support – NCS Students
Individual Learning Support
Teachers will provide learning support to individual students, fostering their interest in Chinese and consolidating their Chinese language learning in a relaxed and enjoyable manner. They will also provide assistance and support to NCS students during class to facilitate their integration into the classroom.
Group Learning Support
Teachers will conduct group learning support after school. Through peer interaction, games, scenarios, and role-playing, they will foster NCS students’ interest in learning Chinese and help them learn the structure of Chinese characters, thereby continuing their language learning.
2. Inclusive Activities – Parents of Chinese-Speaking Students
Connecting NCS and Chinese-Speaking families, through inclusive activities on campus, they will learn about each other’s cultural characteristics and deepen their understanding of each other.
3. Family Support – Families of Non-Chinese Speaking Children
Our school social workers and teachers understand the backgrounds and Chinese language learning contexts of NCS families and provide appropriate support services to families with further needs. The school also provides links to a bilingual list of basic Chinese vocabulary for Hong Kong schools for parents to learn Chinese with their children at home. https://www.edbchinese.hk/lexlist_en/
